ARTIST EXHIBIT OPPORTUNITIES
LAA/Sound View Member's Gallery at the Palmetto Club – open year round and open to all members. This venue is located in the hallway adjacent to the pro shop at the Palmetto Club and is open to all LAA 2D artists. Intake takes place on the first Wednesday of the month from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and no reservations are necessary. Submissions are restricted to one piece no larger than 30 x 30 inches framed; however, oversized pieces, no larger than 36 x 36 inches framed, are accepted each month by reservation on a first-come, first-served basis. Oversized reservations can be made by contacting the Gallery Chair.
A 1st Place ribbon will be awarded to one submission each month and the artist will be recognized in our local publications. LAA Spring Art Show – occurring in April or May, all members may participate in this judged, prize-winning show which requires a registration fee. All information will be available in our monthly newsletter.

Fall & Spring In the Park - occurring in October and April and presented by the LAA and the Village Library. All information will appear in our monthly newsletter.

Artist of the Month at the Palmetto Club – given either the AOM wall or case in the gallery and changed monthly throughout the year. LAA/Sound View Virtual Gallery on Facebook - open to all members. Themes change monthly and recognition is awarded to the monthly 1st place and Honorable Mention winners. To enter or view submissions, join the Facebook group "The LAA Art Challenge". LAA artists may enter up to 2 pieces (2D or 3D) per month. Participation can be counted toward the volunteer hour requirement for Artist of the Month in the Palmetto Gallery. Volunteerism
While not a requirement for membership in the LAA, it is encouraged that all members be active in building a successful and growing association.
Many display opportunities encourage volunteerism. Contact the individual gallery chairs for the requirements.
Opportunities for volunteering exist for all ability levels.

Due to the fact that we are guests at all of our venues and maintain our events with the help of our sponsors, we abide by their rules and regulations which state that we avoid politically, racially, sexually or religiously charged pieces that may cause an uncomfortable or controversial atmosphere. It is not the desire or purpose of any LAA Board member to critique or censor any member's work.
